Celebration of the National festival of Republic Day 26-01-2026

Govt. National College celebrated the national festival of Republic Day with great pomp and show. Sirsa, January 26. Today, the national festival of Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor at Government National College, Sirsa. All the students, teachers, and staff participated actively in the ceremony, which was organized under the leadership of the college principal, Prof. Harjinder Singh. The college's Public Relations Officer, Prof. Ramesh Soni, informed that the ceremony began with the hoisting of the national flag, the tricolor, in the college premises. Principal Prof. Harjinder Singh bestowed the honor of hoisting the national flag upon Jasbir, a college employee, in recognition of his diligence, dedication, and commitment to the college. Following this, everyone sang the national anthem. In his address, Principal Prof. Harjinder Singh praised the Indian Constitution, calling it the best constitution in the world, based on the principles of inclusivity, justice, and equality. Registrar and Head of the Public Administration Department, Dr. Jeetram Sharma, respectfully remembered all the freedom fighters and constitution makers, expressing gratitude for their invaluable sacrifices and contributions. On this occasion, lecturer Dr. Meet highlighted the importance of the Constitution in his speech, stating that it is the foundation of our democracy, and it is the duty of all of us to respect its sanctity. Karmaveer Kaushik of the Music Department filled the audience with patriotic fervor through his rendition of a patriotic song. Finally, Principal Dr. Harjinder Singh thanked all the teachers, staff, and students for making the event a success. He said that such events further strengthen the feeling of love and duty towards our country. The entire college community was present on this occasion.
