GNC Students Deliver Outstanding Performance at the Inter-University National Youth Festival

Outstanding National-Level Performance by Students of Government National College, Sirsa Students from Government National College, Sirsa, brought glory to their college, university, and state through a magnificent performance at the "Inter-University National Youth Festival 2025–26," organized by the Association of Indian Universities. The college's Public Relations Officer, Prof. Ramesh Soni, stated that during the Inter-University National Youth Festival—held from March 10, 2026, to March 14, 2026, at Sathyabama University, Chennai—students from over 140 universities across India's eight regions showcased their talents in 28 different cultural disciplines (including music, dance, literature, and fine arts). Among them, students from GNC, Sirsa, achieved remarkable success in various cultural categories. Manjinder Singh secured the second position in Folk Dance. In the Short Play category, the team comprising Kusum, Udaypal, and Prakash Chandra clinched the third position. Additionally, Raman demonstrated exceptional talent by securing the third position in the Haryanvi Folk Orchestra. Following this achievement, all participants and winners received a grand welcome upon their arrival at the college today. The entire college fraternity—including Principal Dr. Shatrujeet and the In-charge of Cultural Activities, Dr. Smriti Kamboj—congratulated all participants on this accomplishment and wished them a bright future. In his address, Principal Dr. Shatrujeet Singh remarked that this success achieved by the students is the direct result of their hard work and dedication. Providing further details, Prof. Ramesh Soni also noted that the college has previously emerged as the overall winner in theater events at the university level on two occasions, under the direction of Theater Director Karn Ladha. He added that, once again, under the expert guidance of Karn Ladha, the students have performed exceptionally well at the national level, bringing pride to everyone. The college fraternity expressed their delight at the participants' achievements and extended their best wishes for their future endeavors. Also present on this occasion were Vice-Principal Dr. Anita Madiya, along with Dr. Manju Mehta, Dr. Sakshi Mehta, Dr. Karamjeet Kaur, Dr. Raj Kumari, and Dr. Saroj Rani.
