Inter-College Drug Awareness Program Organized at National College

An Inter-College Drug Awareness Program was successfully organized at Government National College, under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Shatrujeet Singh and in accordance with the directives of the Director of Higher Education. The primary objective of this program was to raise awareness among the youth regarding the adverse effects of drug abuse. The college's Public Relations Officer, Professor Ramesh Soni, stated that the event featured several educational and creative activities, including PowerPoint presentations, slogan writing, poster making, and declamation competitions. Students participated enthusiastically and presented impactful messages against drug abuse. The panel of judges—comprising Dr. Smriti Kamboj, Dr. Karamjit Kaur, and Dr. Sakshi Mehta—evaluated the participants fairly and objectively. The program was anchored by Dr. Savita. While addressing the students, she placed special emphasis on the harmful effects of drug abuse and inspired everyone to stay away from drugs. The results of the competitions were as follows: PowerPoint Presentation: First Place – Avidity Second Place – Harshdeep Third Place – Bindu Poster Making and Slogan Writing: First Place – Rahul Second Place – Harjot Kaur Third Place – Simranpreet Kaur and Tanush Bansal Declamation Competition: First Place – Harshdeep Second Place – Bindu Third Place – Lovepreet At the conclusion of the program, the winners were felicitated, and all participants were commended for their efforts. On this occasion, a message was conveyed regarding the importance of building a drug-free society.
