A Brief Report:
Women Cell of the college organized a gender sensitization campaign Samvedna The initiative aims to bring gender equality through sensitization and awareness. Members of the Women Cell and teachers from various departments addressed assigned sections of the undergraduate and postgraduate classes. The purpose was to sensitize a maximum number of students.
The teachers addressed the following issues in their lectures:
● Meaning of Gender
● Gender as a Social Construct
● Gender and Discrimination
● Gender Stereotypes and Gender Roles
● Need for change in attitude for a just & equitable society
It was a successful campaign and garnered remarkably positive responses from the students.
