Objective/s of the Activity:
● To detect the cases of anaemia and malnutrition amongst female students to cure them
● To raise awareness regarding anaemia and its adverse effects on physical and mental well-being
● To provide proper guidance for improving their health.
A Brief Report:
A free HB Testing camp for girl students to celebrate Poshan Mah under Poshan Abhiyan, a flagship scheme of Govt. of India was organised on 16/09/2025 Technicians from Garg Path Laboratory came to check the HB of the female students. In the camp, 150 girls came forward for HB Testing. Dr. Deep Gagneja, MD (Microbiology) from the Garg Path lab also came to visit the camp and interacted with the students. The camp made students aware of the importance of proper HB levels and problems caused by anaemia. They were told their body needs iron and other nutrients to make haemoglobin and healthy red blood cells and this is vital for their physical and mental well-being. The check-up camp was followed by a lecture on nutrition. Garg Path Lab later generated a detailed blood report of the students. The female students with lower HB were given suggestions on how to improve their HB when they came to collect their reports.
