District Level Science Essay Writing Competition

Event: District level Science essay writing competition Venue: Library hall, Government National College, Sirsa Date: 30-09-2025
Introduction:
As per the order of department of science and technology Haryana, district level science essay writing competition has been organised in the college on 30th September, 2025. The objectives of the science essay writing competition are as follows:-
(i) To inculcate scientific temper in young minds.
(ii) To encourage students in colleges to think on the broader aspects of science and apply it in daily life.
(iii) To search for creative scientific writing talent in students.
(iv) To understand the students view of social relevance of science & scientific attitude and use it to develop effective strategies for science education.
(v) To popularize various aspects of science through students writing.
67 science students from different colleges have participated in the event. Top 10 students selected will participate in state level essay writing competition.
The competition:
TOPICS OF SCIENCE ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION:
1. Intellectual Property Rights in Higher Studies.
2. Planet, People and Policy, not just Profit.
3. Rise of Atamnirbhar Innovation in National Security.
4. Role of Digital technology in Nation’s growth.
5. History, Benefits & Drawbacks of Cloud storage.
Language can be English or Hindi. Word limit was 800-1000 words and Time given to students to write essay was 1 hour. The judges of the competition are:
